With the 2008 golf season approaching we have 10 people currently out for golf. The Seniors are Anthony Wolverton, Brody Wullschlager, and Tyler Cadwallader. The Juniors are Marty Mandl, Robert Johnson III, Taylor Caldwell, and Jeremy Anderson. There are no sophmores which makes the 3 remaining freshman Nick Oertwich, Jacob Roenfeldt, and Carter Westerhold.

The 5 Current Varsity members are as follows:

The places at the invite in Plainview went Robbie Johnson 11^th place with an 89, Jeremy Andersen tied for 10^th place with an 88, And Marty Mandl 3^rd with an 82.

We have had 2 duels, 1 quad, and 1 invite. One of those was played at Elkhorn Acres Golf Course.

The practices during the 5 day week have been Monday: 1 hour of chipping and putting and 2 hours at the driving range. Tuesday: Golf 9 Holes. Wednesday: repeat monday. Thursday: repeat tuesday. Friday: repeat monday. The Average Scores for the Varsity members in practice have been Approx.

-Marty Mandl returning State qualifier had been doing very well until an unexpected hand injury, but has not slowed down Mandl as in practice on Tuesday Afternoon he came into the clubhouse to realize that he shot par(36). What an accomplishment for the junior golfer! I am sure we are to see a lot more of this, and maybe under par(35 and under) as the year goes on.
