2009-2010 Elementary Student Council

The 2009-2010 school year is off to a great start! The
Elementary Student Council positions have been selected and it
looks to be another eventful year. Congratulations to our newest
members: Samuel Bates, Bailey Patterson, Veronica Peck, Parker
Zach, Tenna Beel, Ben Hansen, Broderick Sieh, & Allie Spence.
Nominations for the Student Council position included the
following:
(1) Interested students had to present both a written & oral
interview to the committee of Mrs. McKeon, Miss Bowsman, & Mr.
Stoddard as to why they would be a good candidate for this
position.
(2) Interested students must exhibit responsible behaviors in
school.
(3) The committee’s final selection were limited to (4) students
from both the 3rd & 4th Grade classrooms.
The Student Council holds their meetings the first Monday of each
month from 3:30 – 4:15pm. They recently held their first meeting
and ideas for upcoming events are starting to come in. The Student
Council’s goal for each year is “leadership & pride in our
school”. Watch for the Elementary Student Council in action as
events come up throughout the school year!
