Mustangs Fall to Gators

    Thursday night the class C fifth ranked Wisner-Pilger Gators faced off against the Stanton Mustangs. The Mustangs dug themselves into a big hole in the first quarter, by only scoring 2 points. “We were fighting an uphill battle the rest of the way”, quoted Head Coach Jason Brown. The Mustangs worked hard to fight their way back into the game but Wisner shot the ball very well throughout the entire game. Wisner hung on, and beat Stanton 75 – 58. Leading the Mustangs in scoring was senior guard Josh Herscheid who added 25 points. Other scorers for the Mustangs include Tomka with 10, Nicolite with 14 and Blake Heppner with 4.
