Stanton JV Basketball Openers

The Stanton JV Boys opened up against Howells. After going down
10-2 they fought back and tied the game up at 25 with only 12
seconds to go in the game on 2 Stephen Peterson free throws.
Unfortunately Howells hit a last second shot and Stanton lost
27-25. Leading the way in scoring for the Mustangs was Adam Krentz,
and Peterson both with 6 points.
Thursday the JV Boys played Wisner-Pilger, and again had to fight
from behind after starting down 14-4. The Mustangs had a chance to
win it in the fourth, but the shot bounced off the rim and out for
a 53-52 setback. Scoring leaders for Stanton were Stephen Peterson
with 15, Blake Hepner with 11, and Kody Erbst with 10.
