It’s Kindergarten Round-Up time!! Kindergarten Round -Up will be held at the Stanton Elementary School (506 Fir Street), on Friday, April 16 from 2:00 – 3:00pm. All children in the Stanton School District who will turn five by October 15, 2010 are welcome to attend. Families with children entering Kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year are encouraged to call the elementary at 439-2639. Kindergarten Roundup provides parents and children an opportunity to meet the Kindergarten teachers and tour the Kindergarten classrooms. While the children enjoy the Kindergarten experience in the classrooms, the Kindergarten teachers, speech technician, school nurse, building administration, and office personnel will meet with parents to share about the Kindergarten program, provide general school information, provide a tour of the school, and answer any questions that parents may have. Kindergarten health requirements for the 2010-2011 include the following: child’s original birth certificate (acquired through the State Health Department), updated immunization records, pre-kindergarten physical and eye exam (both given within 6 months before the start of school in the fall). These are state requirements and the school must have them before Kindergarten starts in the fall. Any completed requirements can be brought to the school at Kindergarten Round-Up. **Due to Kindergarten Roundup the Kindergarten classrooms (Kindergarten only) will dismiss at 1:20pm. Grades 1st- 4th will dismiss at the regular time.
