The Mustangs travelled to Lincoln to watch the Nebraska vs Iowa dual at the Coliseum on Friday night. The dual didn’t turn out to be much of a fight as Nebraska didn’t put up much of a fight in their matches. The highlights included getting autographs and pictures taken with Joba Chamberlain of the New York Yankees and Jordan Burroughs a two time NCAA champion and current World Champion in wrestling. We had a great time and got to see what it is like to dominate an opponent without backing off. We then headed to Battle Creek on Saturday where we would place 5th out of 24 teams scoring 103.5 points in a meet that featured a lot of our district teams.
Caleb Goeken at 106 really stepped up today in his first two matches where he lost by a pin to Juan Gonzalez of Wakefield late in the match , he then pinned Dakota Heitmann LAU and lost to Scott Boettcher NG by a pin.
