"We spoke during the entire offseason about assignment, alignment, technique. We knew we had the potential to make plays on both sides of the ball. We have a lot to fix and a lot to build on going into week 2", said head coach Dave Stoddard. “In 19 years of coaching I can say this game was one where I got to see a team work together and do whatever it took to get back into the game. It was an entire team and coaching staff effort to pull this game out and I’m very proud of how everyone responded.”

The Mustangs were led in rushing by Kadyn Fernau 6-105yds, Gage Tighe 11-51 yds, Sutton Pohlman 8-48 yds, Cade Goger 8-48, and Marcus Spotanski 8-42 yds. Paving the way up front were lineman Sam Bates, Christian Flood, Alek Reese, Mason Bruggeman, and Jordan Gartner, with help from TE’s Nathan Arens, Zak Hansen, Trey Elbert and Morghan Prusa.

Leading tacklers were Issiah Borgmann 8, Christian Flood 7, Gage Tighe 6, Nathan Arens 6, Ben Wilke 6, Parker Krusemark 5, Kadyn Fernau 5, Zak Hansen 4, Sam Bates 4, Sutton Pohlman 3, Alek Reese 3, Moorghan Prusa 2, Mason Brugeman 1, and Damien Erickson 1.
