Mustangs  29-3 – after Sub-districts and Districts

 

The Mustang’s traveled to Norfolk on Monday, October 30th to play the first round of Sub-districts held at Norfolk Catholic.  The Mustang played Lutheran High Northeast for the first match.  During sub-districts, districts and state all matches are the best of 3 out of 5 sets.  The Mustangs played 3 sets against LHNE and won which advances the Mustang to round two held the following night.  Sets:  25-19, 25-18 and 25-14.  Team stats:  3 ace serves, 45 kills with 41 set assists, 5 total blocks with 65 digs.

            The following night was against Wisner-Pilger.  The winner of this match advances to the Districe game that will be played on Saturday, November 4th at Cross County High School.  The Mustangs played 3 sets in this match and ended up with a win:  25-14, 25-23 and 25-13.  Team stats:  8 ace serves, 47 kills with 43 set assists, 8 total blocks and 58 digs.

            The Mustang’s traveled on Saturday, November 4th to Cross County High School to play Thayer Central for the District match.  The Mustang’s played Thayer Central 3 sets and won:  25-11, 27-25 and 25-14.  Team stats:  9 serve aces, 44 kills with 38 set assists, 9 total blocks and 63 digs.

The Mustang’s will make the trip to Lincoln to play in the 2017 State Volleyball Tournament – November 9, 10 and 11.  The Mustangs are the 4th seed and will play the number 5th seed Bergan at 1:30pm – Lincoln Southwest on Thursday, November 9th.
